This is a personal site. It has no accounts, forms, comments or ads, and I do not collect personal data myself. Here is what still happens when you visit.
What the site itself stores
Nothing of its own. The code of the site sets no cookies and uses no local storage. The Cloudflare security cookie is described below. Fonts and images are served from the site itself, and there are no embeds from third parties.
Visit counting
I count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. According to Cloudflare, it uses no cookies or local storage, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not use personal data to show me the statistics. I see totals such as page views, countries and page speed, not individuals.
Security cookie
The site runs behind Cloudflare, which delivers it and protects it against bots. Cloudflare bot protection runs a small script in your browser to tell people from automated traffic, and it can set one cookie called cf_clearance on your device. The cookie expires after up to a year. Cloudflare classes it as strictly necessary for security, and I do not use it for tracking. What the script checks is decided by Cloudflare. As with any hosting, Cloudflare also processes your IP address to deliver the pages.
